Through four eventful generations, we have developed from a blacksmith shop and wagon forge to a leading company whose competence and know-how is recognized worldwide.

From the takeover of the blacksmith shop in Grieskirchen in 1895 to the founding of the wagon construction company and in 1921 the great success of the first air-tired carriage. WIth of 1929 the horse became finally obsolete and the production of trailers and superstructures was started. A new plant was built in Grieskirchen in 1965 due to unimagined heights in international trade and transport.

From the successful construction of special vehicles, the special area "Container Technology" developed in 1970, which has produced more than 50,000 units for worldwide use to date.

Franz Hilber founded Hilber Solar in 1991 and started with the production and installation of PV systems in Austria. In the years that follow, the German market is increasingly served. Today, solar systems from Hilber Solar are installed worldwide.In the meantime, Hilber Solar not only has the support of his son Thomas Hilber, but also of a great team of engineers with an incredible will to shape solar innovations.
